Gators to grind in doubleheader

Sometimes, the diamond can be a real drag.

With midweek doubleheaders — like the one Florida grinded through last week with Mississippi and will face again on home turf against Chattanooga — the biggest hurdle to overcome is simply staying focus.

“It’s definitely my hardest thing I have to work on,” freshman Lauren Haeger said of maintaining her focus in midweek doubleheaders. “In the dugout I’m like, ‘I’ve seen this pitcher 100 times now in one day. My feet hurt, my cleats hurt.’”
