Gators softball chomps ‘Noles
A midweek trip to Tallahassee proved victorious for the No. 6 Gators softball team. Florida beat in-state rival No. 21 Florida State by run-rule (9-1) in six innings on Wednesday evening in front of a record crowd of 1,195. The top of the third inning proved to be an exciting one for the young Florida team where six of the Gators nine runs were scored. Freshman Sami Fagan entered into Florida’s homerun family when she hit her first college career bomb to bring in three runs.
After a slow start with a three up, three down top-of-the-first-inning, and two strikeouts by sophomore ace Hannah Rogers in the bottom, the Gators entered into the second with bats swinging.
