ShareGators play ‘Florida lacrosse’ in win
GAINESVILLE — The Gators played 60 minutes of “Florida lacrosse” en route to blowing out Temple 20-3 in front of 537 fans at Dizney Stadium on Saturday.
No. 5 Florida improved to 6-2 while Temple falls to 5-2. The Gators return to action by hosting Stony Brook at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
After a pair of consecutive close matches, Florida enjoyed cruising to an easy win against coach Amanda O’Leary’s alma mater. O’Leary attended the match, but was not available for post-game interviews because she wasn’t feeling well, according to a UF spokesperson. In her place, UF assistant Erica Lagrow spoke about the team playing a complete match.
