ShareGators drop Game 2 of LSU doubleheader
Florida had their visors flipped upside down and backward on their heads for good fortune in the first matchup, but the luck ran out against the Tigers in the second game of a home double header.
The quiet leader Michelle Moultrie found herself at the plate with Florida down to its last out and the opportunity to bring the home crowd into a noisy frenzy and to give them a case of déjà vu.
Moultrie slapped a walk-off double down the left field line giving the Gators a dramatic extra-inning victory in Game 1 of a doubleheader vs. the No. 23 LSU Tigers (33-16, 14-8), but Moultrie and the No. 2 Florida Gators (42-5, 19-2) couldn’t duplicate their late game heroics en route to a 1-0 loss Tuesday night.
