ShareFlorida sweeps Mizzou in O’Dome
No. 13 Florida opened up conference play at home Friday night with a sweep against Missouri, 25-22, 26-24, 25-17. The Gators defeated Mizzou in front of more than 3,000 fans to improve to 9-2 on the season and 3-0 in Southeastern Conference play. The Tigers fall to 10-3 overall and 2-1 in conference play.
“Awesome start to a great season already coming out and beating Arkansas, Kentucky and then Mizzou,” junior setter Taylor Brauneis said. “Awesome three matches, great team wins.”
While the Gators had 4.5 fewer blocks than the Tigers, Florida held Mizzou to a .139 hitting percentage and recorded 15 more kills.
