ShareFlorida softball completes sweep
Florida’s softball team shined on a gloomy Saturday afternoon by completing a three-game sweep of Florida International with a 7-1 win in front of 628 fans in Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium.
Two wild pitches put No. 3/4 Florida (41-5 overall, 18-2 in Southeastern Conference play) in position to score freshman Sami Fagan in the fifth inning against Florida International (24-23, 12-7 Sun Belt).
Florida sophomore Cheyenne Coyle took advantage of the scoring opportunity and lined a double into left field off of starting pitcher Shelby Graves.
