Florida hands LSU its first SEC loss

The first time it was felt was after losing to Kentucky by three on New Year’s Day. Following two more losses last week by a combined 11 points, it was seemingly tangible. “Always the bridesmaid, never the bride,” said Florida coach Amanda Butler. The classic idiom perfectly fit the Florida women’s basketball team’s performance within the conference this season. Coming up just short had become too common.
