The No. 15 Florida Gators earned their fourth sweep of the season Friday night as they defeated the Jacksonville Dolphins (25-18, 25-11, 25-11) in the Stephen C. O’Connell Center. This was Florida’s first match in the Active Ankle Challenge as the Gators now improve their record to 4-2. The Dolphins now fall to 0-7 for the season. The Gators were back in the O’Dome after being on the road for the Nike Big Four Classic Tournament where they fell to then-No.2 Texas and then No.-9 Stanford.

“We love being back in the O’Dome and it’s always great to be in front of our fans,” senior right-side hitter Tangerine Wiggs said. “They bring such good energy to us and pre-season is a great opportunity for us to learn about ourselves and work on some of our weaknesses and I think we did a great job tonight. Some of the youngsters stepped up and we worked really well as a cohesive unit so I think it was a great night for us.”

The Gators outhit the Dolphins .468 to .080 and recorded five more blocks than them.
