GAINESVILLE, Fla. — For the second consecutive year Southeastern Conference volleyball will see extensive coverage on national television — SEC Network and ESPNU will air 50 women’s volleyball matches. National coverage of both soccer and volleyball has quintupled since SEC Network’s launch last fall.

A total of nine Florida Gators volleyball matches this upcoming season will air live on SEC Network or ESPNU, with another batch of SEC Network + matches to be released at a later date. The University of Florida unveiled its competitive 2015 schedule in May. A business trip to Hawaii, an elite Florida-Nebraska-Oregon-Texas tournament in Austin, Texas, and matches against 10 NCAA Tourney teams from last season are just a few highlights of the 2015 University of Florida volleyball schedule.

Of the Gators’ 10 matches this season against 2014 NCAA Tournament teams, four will air on SEC Network: Kentucky (Sept. 27 & Oct. 18), at LSU (Nov. 20) and at Texas A&M (Nov. 22). UF will debut on national television with the home match against Kentucky Sunday, Sept. 27.

Florida debuts the 2015 campaign Aug. 29 with a two-match road trip to the northeast before the Gators head to Austin for a power tournament featuring Florida, Nebraska, Oregon and Texas, followed by the Outrigger Resorts Volleyball Challenge in Honolulu. In all, the Orange and Blue will play seven matches on the road before opening at home in the Stephen C. O’Connell Center with St. John’s Sept. 17. Florida volleyball season tickets, Gold and Platinum cards are now on sale.
