There is embarrassing and there is really embarrassing. Florida floundering its way to an 0-2 start in Omaha to turn right back around and head back to Gainesville was embarrassing.

So Florida State decided to give us an example of really embarrassing to one-up the Gators. Freshman John Holland was arrested in Omaha for switching price tags on an item at a sporting goods store. Really.

The Florida baseball team is in the middle of one of the worst hitting slumps it has been in since head coach Kevin O'Sullivan arrived, and he's been at a loss for how to turn things around at the plate lately.

The team might have done him a big favor on its road trip to Samford, Ala., when it created a music video to Carly Rae Jepsen's hit song "Call Me Maybe" - and looked like it was having fun for the first time in a while.

You've heard the media and the fans lambast Will Muschamp's closed practice philosophy for various reasons. Spring practice was always open under Steve Spurrier and Urban Meyer, and both coaches won national championships.

Despite his restrictive policy, Muschamp has managed to find a happy medium and a good balance for the fans and media this spring.

The SEC: One big, awkward, not-so-happy family…

The Southeastern Conference is a meat-grinder of the best college teams and college coaches. The league boasts four coaches that have won a national championship, which, up until this year, was a third of the conference.

On Thursday, the 14 SEC coaches got together for a meeting with commissioner Mike Slive, and the byproduct was an absurdly amusing photo of the best conference in the land's leaders.
