UF Recruiting: Prep Recap Week 9

Every Thursday, Gator Country will run a high school preview of all of Florida's current commits and a few of the Gators' biggest targets and then follow that up with a recap on Monday.

All games are on Friday unless otherwise noted.

Crescent City (Fla.) and UF offensive line commitment Caleb Brantley had a bye week.

Armwood (Fla.) 19, Plant (Fla.) 20 OT —Plant blocked Armwood’s point after attempt to win the overtime game. Florida receiver commitment Alvin Bailey played quarterback for Armwood and threw two touchdown passes.

Canton (Mich.) 28, Plymouth (Mich.) 40 — Gators offensive lineman commitment Cameron Dillard and Canton ended their season with a loss.

Bishop Kenny (Fla.) 41, Parker (Fla.) 0 — Florida receiver commitment Ahmad Fulwood had four catches for 66 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Wharton (Fla.) 38, Blake (Fla.) 7 — UF cornerback commitment Vernon Hargreaves III and Wharton blew out Blake behind 2014 quarterback Chase Litton, who had three touchdown passes.

Carver (Ga.) 46, Central (Ga.) 15 — Florida receiver commitment Marqui Hawkins and Carver stayed unbeaten in district play by blowing out Central.

Colquitt County (Ga.) 36, Valdosta (Ga.) 28 — Gators offensive lineman Octavius Jackson and Colquitt County lost their third game of the year in heartbreaking fashion.

Lincoln (Fla.) and UF linebacker commitment James Hearns were on a bye week.

Pasco (Fla.) 45, Ridgewood (Fla.) 0 — Pasco’s defense led by Florida defensive lineman commitment Joey Ivie pitched their fifth shutout of the season and stayed unbeaten.

Winter Haven (Fla.) 27, Lake Wales (Fla.) 14 — Gators running back commitment Adam Lane had 27 carries for 190 yards and a touchdown in the win.

First Coast (Fla.) 27, Raines (Fla.) 7 — Florida linebacker commitment Daniel McMillian and the First Coast Buccaneers stayed unbeaten at 8-0 on the season.

South Sumter (Fla.) 42, Keystone Heights (Fla.) 0 — UF safety commitment Keanu Neal had a rushing touchdown as South Sumter improved to 8-0 on the year.

Mainland (Fla.) 46, Deltona (Fla.) 0 — Gators linebacker commitment Quinton Powell and Mainland picked up their fifth win of the season.

Archer (Ga.) 14, South Gwinnett (Ga.) 42 — Florida defensive lineman commitment Antonio Riles and Archer are now 6-3 on the season.

Hillsborough (Fla.) 46, King (Fla.) 7 — Gators defensive lineman commitment Jordan Sherit will miss the remainder of the season due to a torn ACL.

Brentwood Academy (Tenn.) 63, McCallie (Tenn.) 42 — UF quarterback commitment Max Staver went 11-of-19 passing for 259 yards and five touchdowns and just one interception.

Glades Day (Fla.) vs. Summit Christian (Fla.) — This game featuring Florida running back commitment Kelvin Taylor will be played on Monday.

Gainesville (Fla.) 14, Madison County (Fla.) 9 — Gators receiver commitment Chris Thompson and Gainesville are now 9-0 on the year.

Trinity Christian (Fla.) 42, Yulee (Fla.) 22 — UF safety commitment Nick Washington had eight carries for 180 yards and three touchdowns and also had an interception return for a touchdown in the win.
