Although Jordan Cunningham is only a junior, the 6-foot-3, 175-pound receiver from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., holds more than 30 scholarship offers including offers from the state’s “Big 3” of Florida, Florida State and Miami.

Even though it’s early in the process for the University School standout, Cunningham knows which schools have stuck out to him the most.

“FSU, Miami and Alabama,” Cunningham said.

Although Jordan Cunningham is only a junior, the 6-foot-3, 175-pound receiver from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., holds more than 30 scholarship offers including offers from the state’s “Big 3” of Florida, Florida State and Miami.

Even though it’s early in the process for the University School of Nova South standout, Cunningham said a few schools have stuck out the most.

“FSU, Miami and Alabama,” Cunningham said.

The list is short for Cunningham, but he acknowledged that Florida State and Miami were the two schools recruiting him the hardest right now.

Cunningham attended Miami’s Junior Day two weeks ago.

“It was good. We talked to the coaches, toured the school and checked out the classrooms,” Cunningham said.

As for his other two favorites, Cunningham plans on paying them a visit in the near future.

“I’m going to FSU in February,” Cunningham said. “I’ll probably go to Alabama [for a Junior Day visit]. I’m not sure though, I may go in the summer.”

The Gators are not in Cunningham’s early top three favorites, but Florida coach Will Muschamp recently checked in on the top 2013 prospect.

“Muschamp came by the school the other day,” he said. “It was nothing much. He just talked to me for a couple minutes and told me they liked me and stuff like that.”

When asked if he’ll make a trip up to Gainesville, Cunningham said, “it’s a possibility.”

Cunningham added that location is not a factor for him, which has allowed a darkhorse to enter the race for Cunningham’s recruitment.

“I emailed Stanford saying I would like to get up there as soon as possible,” Cunningham said. “I’ll most likely go to their Junior Day on March 3.”

Despite having a few early favorites, Cunningham is leaving the door open on when he’ll announce his commitment.

“I could announce anytime,” Cunningham said. “Preferably it will be before the season, before August, so I can just focus on the season. I’ll be taking my visits probably as soon as possible to Stanford, Miami, Florida State, Alabama and probably Notre Dame.”
