RECRUITING: Little trims list down to three

 |  November 19, 2006

With his senior season behind him, Twiggs County High School offensive tackle Chris Little continues to narrow down his list of choices. Little now has a top three, and will soon begin taking his visits.

With the Twiggs County football team now done with their season, Chris Little told us about their season.

“We had an alright year. We went 4-6. It came down to our last game whether or not us or the team we were playing would go to the playoffs and they won. But I had a fun senior season.”

“I played well. I had 80-90 pancakes and 50 or so knockdowns.”

With the season over now, the 6’5”, 340 pound lineman now shifts his focus to recruiting.

“I’ve got it down to three now. Florida, Clemson, and Notre Dame. I’m going to play offensive tackle at the school I pick.”

Florida: “At first I never thought I would consider Florida, but they’ve been talking to me a lot and recruited me really hard. I’ve built relationships with a lot of the coaches there, and that’s important.

“I talk to Coach Hevesy at least one time a week. He really likes my wingspan and footwork to play on the end of the offensive line. I’m really physical for a big man too, and he says he really likes that.”

Notre Dame: “Notre Dame is one of those places you can play at a big division one program, and still get a high level education.”

Clemson: “I like their stadium and the history of the program. I also have some teammates that play at Clemson, and it would be nice to play with them again.”

In the end, the four star tackle already has decided on what he is looking for in his school.

“I want to play somewhere where I’m comfortable. I want to get a good education though and if possible, I would like to play early.”

In trying to find his school that fits these characteristics, Little has been on a few visits, and still has some planned in the future.

“I went to Florida unofficially already, then I took an official visit to Notre Dame. I’m going to Clemson for my first time this weekend on an unofficial visit.”

“I decided that I’m going to be visiting Florida officially on December 8th.”

No matter what school he decides on, the #6 ranked offensive tackle plans on doing it in the near future.

“The timetable for my decision really depends. I may do it sometime in the next month or at the Army All American game. I haven’t really decided yet.”

Chris Little continues to be one of the heavier recruited seniors in the southeast. Coaches understand that an offensive lineman with his size and athleticism of Chris Little do not come around every year.
