RECRUITING: Bo Williams Down to Two

 |  December 6, 2006

Running back Bo Williams continues to take visits, but claims he most likely knows which two it will come down to during his decision making process.

“Recruiting is going well right now. I just got back from Florida State last night. It was a lot of fun to see the school and all that.” Bo Williams does claim a new top four.

“I’m now looking at Florida, Florida State, Pittsburgh, and N.C. State. I think it will come down to Florida State and Florida. It will be tough.”

Williams also knows what he likes about the two schools he sees as his possible front runners.

Florida State: “I like the coaches there. There is an opportunity to play there, but there is at Florida too. My visit was really good there.”

Florida: “I’ve been there a few times already. I’m telling you what; the people in Gainesville are great. It just feels so much like home. You can just feel so much love there. Everyone there knew who I was.”

The four star running back also said he got a chance to see the Gators play in the SEC Championship Game on Saturday.

“Man, was that a great game or what? I loved it. Florida is really tough this year. First SEC Champions, now off to the National Championship game.”

Williams also commented about his upcoming visit this weekend.

“I’m going to UF this Friday night for the weekend officially. I’m excited about it. I have been there a few times and all, but I want to see it again. It’ll be a good weekend.”

Coach Holliday has been recruiting the 6’0, 205 pound back this entire season, and Bo likes what he hears from him.

“We talk pretty much every day. He says he likes my size and speed as a running back. I’m 205 and run a 4.4. I can move, and he likes that for their offense. I think they need a running back too. Saturday they had receivers Harvin and Caldwell in the backfield.”

Bo Williams also likes the way he could see himself fitting into the Florida offense.

“I’ve talked to Coach (Stan) Drayton about their offense and how they use running backs. It sounds good. He told me how they still run inside zones and counters, it’s just tricky.”

“And I like what I’ve seen from them too. They use the pass to open up the running game. You saw it yesterday, first a 15 yard run, and then some wide receivers start becoming open. I can easily see myself fitting into an offense like that.”

Williams also has some characteristics he would like in the school he chooses.

“I’m all about trust. I have to be able to trust my coaching staff. The place also has to feel like home too. I’ve been to Florida and they feel like that. This weekend at Florida State did too. It’s going to be hard. Both coaching staffs are great and really respect you. I can definitely see myself in Gainesville having a good time.”

The timetable on Williams’ decision is somewhat vague, as he still has visits to take.

“I’ll probably commit after all my visits are done. I’m going to Florida this weekend, and then to Pittsburgh the 15th.”

The four star running back also talked about his position as a candidate to early enroll

“I can graduate this December and enroll in school January, but I haven’t decided if I am going to. It’s really a blessing to have the ability to do that. I just don’t know if I’m going to or not, I’ve got to decide with my family.

Before hanging up the phone and ending the interview, Bo Williams just had one more thing to say.

“Go Gators!”
