Daytona Beach (Fla.) Mainland linebacker Quinton Powell de-committed from Florida in December after taking an official visit to Gainesville.
But Florida has continued to stay in touch with the 6-foot-2, 200-pound Powell since his departure.
On Tuesday the Gators received some positive news.
