QB Max Staver commits to Florida

Brentwood (Tenn.) Academy quarterback Max Staver has confirmed that he has verbally committed to Florida.

“I’m a Gator,” Staver told GatorCountry.com’s Andrew Spivey via text message on Monday afternoon.

Staver, a 6-foot-5, 235-pounder, becomes the 18th verbal commitment for the Gators’ Class of 2013. He’s the second 2013 pledge in three days after defensive lineman Joey Ivie verbally committed to UF on Saturday.
