ShareMatt Jones strives for a state title
SEFFNER – All in all, it wasn't exactly the type of night that Florida commitment Matt Jones has become accustomed to over a prolific prep career at Armwood High School. Facing a rugged Gainesville defense that routinely loaded the box in an effort to stop the run against the Hawks, Jones managed just 13 yards on 10 carries in a FHSAA Class 6A regional final on Friday evening. However, the 6-foot-3, 220-pound running back still managed to make his mark on the game, despite his struggles on the ground.
