ShareLeon McQuay III: UF ‘still on top’
BRADENTON – With slightly longer hair on top and a slight glance of fuzz on his cheeks these days, it seems that Seffner (Fla.) Armwood safety prospect Leon McQuay III is trying to give himself a more grown-up appearance these days – which is still difficult to pull off with the boyish grin and braces that easily give him away for being a teenager.
As McQuay talks on the sidelines of the IMG Madden 7-on-7 Southeast Regional Qualifier, recent Florida signee Dante Fowler wanders over and starts to kid around with the 2011 USA Today All-American for a moment. The exchange prompts the question – is Fowler pushing McQuay to consider the Gators just a bit more these days?
