Late bloomer Popek has Florida’s interest

In these days when the rage for high school football prospects is the early commitment, more and more schools are filling up their recruiting classes long before the high school season is over. Filling up early can mean overlooking that late bloomer, however. One late bloomer is Plant City offensive tackle Mark Popek (6-7, 309), who has emerged as a big time player his senior year. Popek visited Florida unofficially for the Vanderbilt game and plans on making it back to Gainesville soon.
