Johnson added to All-America game

 |  December 31, 2012  |  0 Comments

Florida already has seven commitments playing in the Under Armour All-America Game, and on Monday another commitment was added to the roster.

Delray Beach (Fla.) American Heritage offensive lineman Rod Johnson was added late and will report to Orlando in time to practice with his team on Tuesday.

“I have to report to the hotel tonight,” Johnson said. “It’s a great opportunity to compete against the best in the nation and prove myself.”

The 6-foot-6, 315-pound Johnson does have a goal while at practice and at the game on Friday in St. Petersburg.

“I have something I want to prove this week,” Johnson said. “I want to show everyone I’m the best in the nation. Not to sound cocky but that’s my goal.”

Johnson will join commitments Marcell Harris, Keanu Neal, Kelvin Taylor, Alvin Bailey, Vernon Hargreaves III, Caleb Brantley and Matt Rolin.
