VALDOSTA, Ga. – As the offspring of native son Stan Rome, an All-American in two sports who played for both the Kansas City Chiefs of the NFL and the Cleveland Cavaliers of the NBA, might not be the easiest legacy to carry on. However, the broad shoulders of highly regarded tight end Jay Rome (6-5, 230, Valdosta, Ga. / Valdosta) are built to handle the weight of lofty expectations – and then some.
