WEST PALM BEACH --- Considering how long Matt Elam and Gerald Christian have been on the recruiting radar, it's hard to fathom that they have another year of high school football left to play. Elam has been a top prospect ever since his sophomore year at Palm Beach Lakes, where he established himself as one of the top young safeties in the country. As a junior he moved to Palm Beach Gardens Dwyer where he teamed up with Christian to take the Panthers deep in the FHSAA Class 5A playoffs before a controversial 32-20 loss to Plant ended their season. Their college choice set (both are committed to Florida), Elam and Christian are determined to redeem 2008 by bringing home the state championship that eluded them.
