ShareFuture Gator chomps about choice
The Florida Gators shored up its defensive line by landing a pair of highly touted junior college defensive tackles in the past four days. On Sunday, Visesio “Junior” Salt of Mt. San Antonio College (Walnut, Calif.) verbally committed to the Gators during the exit interview of his official visit. That was followed by today’s big news that Damien Jacobs of East Mississippi Community College (Scooba, Miss.) had signed with the University of Florida. Today marks the start of the signing period for early junior college graduates like Jacobs, who will enroll at UF next month and be able to participate in spring practices. The signing period ends Jan. 15.
