Fred Taylor weighs in on Kelvin Taylor’s decision to commit to the Florida Gators

The Taylor name is etched in Florida football history. Fred Taylor starred as a running back from 1994-1997, helping the Gators win the 1996 National Championship under coach Steve Spurrier.

The Gator Nation will have to get use to calling another Taylor’s name. Kelvin Taylor, the son of the former Gators and NFL running back, announced his verbal commitment to Florida on Saturday. Even with a year of high school remaining, Kelvin Taylor is the state of Florida’s career rushing leader after helping Glades Day High in Belle Glade repeat as Class 1B state champions this past season.
