Over the next few weeks I will be breaking down the game film of each current high school player committed to the University of Florida. I will analyze strengths, weaknesses, and try to compare each recruit to a recent Florida player. Keep in mind most of the film reviewed was of the player’s sophomore and junior years in high school. This is solely my opinion of the player based on film and if I have seen them in person at camps. Venice (Venice HS) defensive tackle Dante Phillips has been committed to the Gators since October 25, 2010, and like fellow commit Latroy Pittman, Phillips has never wavered on his intentions to attend Florida. Phillips is ranked as a four-star prospect by most recruiting services. Though Phillips can play either offense or defense, the Florida coaches told Phillips they are recruiting him for defensive tackle.
