Demarcus Robinson to visit Florida

Florida has four receivers committed already for the Class of 2013, but that hasn’t stopped the coaches from recruiting other pass catchers.

One of those is Fort Valley (Ga.) Peach County receiver Demarcus Robinson, who is currently committed to Clemson.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Robinson is planning on giving the Gators a visit this coming weekend when Florida welcomes LSU to town.

“Yes sir I plan to visit,” Robinson said. “I will most likely be an official but I’m not sure yet it could be an unofficial visit. I’ll know later this week. My mom will be with me on the visit.”

Robinson has been committed to Clemson since July, however, and he says he is still solidly committed to the Tigers.

“I’m a strong commit to Clemson,” Robinson said. “But I’m going to check out Florida and see what they have to offer. I don’t want my officials to go to waste and me not see any other schools. Right now the only two visits I know that I will take is to Florida and Clemson.”

The coaching staff at Florida has still been recruiting Robinson hard and he says that he is listening to their message.

“They just tell me that I still have an offer there and they want me,” Robinson said. “They said they want me to come down and give them a visit and see the place again. So I’m going to see it again and see how good the atmosphere is.”

Robinson is unsure when he will visit Clemson but maintains he will visit them soon. Notre Dame also stopped by his high school to pay a quick visit last week.

A big win over LSU in a charged atmosphere should improve those chances

Clemson does not play a game that will match the intensity. That will be at the Swamp Saturday. One game I would not want a Clemson comit attending if I were the Clemson coaching staff.

Right now I would say Florida has about a 20% chance here I think he needs to visit one more time.
