Cameron Dillard commits to Florida

 |  April 9, 2012  |  3 Comments

After picking up three commitments on Saturday, Florida added another one Monday.

Gator Country has confirmed through a source close to Florida that Canton, Mich., offensive lineman Cameron Dillard has verbally committed to the Gators. Dillard gives Florida its 15th commitment of the 2013 class.

The 6-foot-3, 285-pound Dillard was recruited to Florida to play offensive guard. He joins Rod Johnson and Josh Outlaw as offensive lineman in this class.

“I just felt at home,” Dillard said via text on Monday. “I knew ever since I was a little kid that I wanted to be a Gator, and once coach (Will) Muschamp gave me the opportunity to play for the Gators, I took it.”

Dillard called his visit to Florida on Saturday “great,” adding that he couldn’t wait to talk with the Gators’ coaches on Monday.

Dillard is the No. 259 prospect in the nation, regardless of position, in the latest Gator Country Composite Rankings.

On Saturday, Florida landed verbal commitments from receiver Ahmad Fulwood, offensive linemen Josh Outlaw and cornerback Tre Bell.
