Traditionally, the state of California hasn't been much of a target for the Florida Gators on the recruiting trail. Unlike fellow state powers Florida State and Miami, the Gators have never really been considered a “national power” as it relates to recruiting. Typically, the Gators have made their living landing top players in the state and throughout the Southeast.
