Brian Poole, the four-star cornerback out of Southeast High School in Bradenton, Fla., proved himself after his 93-yard interception return in this year’s Under Armour All- America Game. But the Gator prospect was a sought after athlete long before his standout performance in St. Petersburg.

Although Poole verbally committed to the University of Florida in June of last year, he continued to receive offers and took official visits. Poole said it was Notre Dame that made the strongest push for his pledge, speaking to their coaching staff as recently as Monday. Poole visited Notre Dame in October and says especially these last couple weeks the coaching staff as really been working on him, but he clarified that he knew what his decision would be on signing day saying, “there will be no surprises, I’m a Gator.”
