Actions speak for Lamar Scruggs
With 15 seconds left on the clock in a tie game, Jacksonville Fletcher wide receiver Lamar Scruggs split out wide with his eyes on the end zone. He was determined break the tie and pick up his team’s ninth win, solidifying a playoff berth only a year after a 3-7 season. Lined up across him was Terry Parker star senior AJ Jenkins, a highly recruited athlete who had been running his mouth all game at Scruggs. When the 6-3, 210-pound receiver ripped the football from the air to secure a victory, Scruggs had nothing to say to Jenkins. As usual, his play says it all.
