2013 prospect picks up UF offer

While on a trip to visit recently committed defensive end/linebacker Alex McCalister, Florida coach Will Muschamp decided to drop in on junior linebacker LaChaston Smith of South Iredell High School in Statesville, N.C. The visit was apparently enough to convince the Florida coaches that Smith belongs on the Gators recruiting board for the Class of 2013, as they extended a scholarship offer to the Tar Heel State product.
