Greg Miclisse (Bayside/Palm Bay, Fla.) has flown under the radar during his recruitment with no scholarship offers and only serious interest from schools.

However, he is just a junior-to-be, so there's plenty of time for him to catch college coaches' attention like he did on Friday night in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

The Florida football staff took notice of the 6-foot-1, 235-pound linebacker's agility. The 2014 prospect was able to talk to D.J. Durkin throughout the night and received positive feedback from the linebackers coach.

“He was telling me they were going to keep in touch with me,” Miclisse said. “He’s going to keep calling me and start coming to my games to watch me play. He liked my footwork and my size. He said I could move well for a big man.”

Even with some tough competition and a lot of eyes on the junior, Miclisse felt like he performed very well.

“I feel like I did great. I caught a ‘pick-6’ and it was a great night and I was competing with the top linebackers out here and just doing my thing,” Miclisse said.

The trip down to Gainesville for Friday Night Lights was his first time in the Swamp and was impressed with the atmosphere of the stadium.

“It’s a great stadium with a lot of atmosphere,” Miclisse said. “I just like it over here. I like Florida and it’s close to home. It’s some home cooking.”

Florida State, Clemson, Florida International, Florida Atlantic, West Virginia, Cincinnati and Central Florida have all been showing interest in Miclisse.
