Will Muschamp repeat Year 2 trend?

Florida football coach Will Muschamp is a defensive coach, so he’s obviously excited about the potential of the Gators’ defense this season.

Last season, Florida finished eighth nationally in total defense. With 10 of 11 starters and 15 of the team’s top 16 tacklers back, it was no wonder the second-year coach showed confidence in the defense during his interviews Wednesday at Southeastern Conference Media Days in Hoover, Ala.

“Defensively we really lost one starter,” Muschamp said. “We return most everybody on our defense.”
