Three Gators were “missed” last week

 |  September 5, 2012  |  8 Comments

During Saturday’s game against Bowling Green, we saw a vanilla offense that ran the ball 61 percent of the game and a defense that struggled to tackle, with defensive backs allowing a cushion big enough for a semi-truck to do donuts in. We also saw porous special teams coverage and we saw a team that struggled against a MAC team, that while better than most cupcakes the Gators usually schedule to begin the season, is nothing more than mediocre.

While, yes, we saw the emergence of Mike Gillislee as the premier running back and Matt Jones showed great potential in his first collegiate game, the Gators were missing a few people that could have made a difference.
