Opponent notes: South Carolina

The last time Marcus Lattimore and his South Carolina teammates stepped into The Swamp two years ago, they left celebrating a Southeastern Conference Eastern Division title.

Lattimore led the Gamecocks on that Nov. 13 night against the Gators by rushing for 212 yards and three touchdowns — his highest output against a league opponent.

On Saturday, the junior running back had no such success lining up across from a vastly improved Florida defense. Lattimore carried the ball a season-low three times for 13 yards in the Gators’ 44-11 win.
