The 2012 Florida Gators as a whole were supposed to be vastly improved in the second year of coach Will Muschamp's term as the face of the program.

Unfortunately, the Gators fan base was not treated to a performance in the team's first game that would be worthy of crediting any improvement.

The entire coaching staff understands this, including offensive coordinator Brent Pease.
