ShareUF Senior Salute: Jon Bostic
It was senior day for linebacker Jon Bostic as the Florida Gators took the field against Jacksonville State and it didn’t take long for the 6-foot-1, 245-pound Florida native to make an impact.
On the first play of the game, the Gators caught an unlucky break when Jacksonville State receiver Kevyn Cooper was seemingly tackled near the sidelines by Florida's Marcus Roberson, but never actually hit the ground. It caught the Gators defense off guard as the receiver got up and sprinted down the field.
With no one in front of Cooper, he was seemingly headed for an easy touchdown until Bostic, who had been chasing him for 76 yards, caught up to him and brought him down at the 7-yard line.
