UF in top 10 after two-year absence

The Florida football team is in the top 10 for the first time in two years.

The Gators (4-0 overall, 3-0 in Southeastern Conference play) moved up a spot to No. 10 despite not playing this week. Stanford, last week’s No. 8 team, lost to previously unranked Washington.

So, Florida’s game against LSU will feature a pair of top 10 teams in The Swamp for the first time in six years. No. 5 Florida beat No. 9 LSU 23-10 on Oct. 7, 2006.
