Heading into the season, the Florida Gators' defensive unit was expected to be the strength of the team with 10 returning starters. The Gators "D" put forth a solid performance against Bowling Green last Saturday, but it wasn’t quite enough to impress the fans or the Gators themselves after the tremendous hype that was built-up during the off-season. The defense will undoubtedly need to set the tone going into a big-time matchup this weekend against a Texas A&M offense headed up Kevin Sumlin. The first-year coach's creative schemes helped the University of Houston lead the country in total offense just a year ago.

On Wednesday, Defensive Coordinator Dan Quinn met with the media to discuss a number of topics including the return of Jeremy Brown, his thoughts on the Gators’ heralded freshmen, and what his defense can expect to see on Saturday in College Station.
