Tigers overhaul passing game

After shuffling between quarterbacks Jarrett Lee and Jordan Jefferson last season, the transfer of Zach Mettenberger to LSU was supposed to finally signal the arrival of a consistent, drop-back passer to complement the Tigers’ traditional power running game.

The upgrade was supposed to be immediate.

Through five wins by No. 4 LSU this year, the results have been middling.
