The Rain Man meets The Wright Stuff
There was Chris Rainey, formerly of Lakeland High School, already past the line of scrimmage and into the secondary thanks to a juke move and a jet-pack burst that got him past the linebackers. And then there was Major Wright, formerly of St. Thomas Aquinas High School, just waiting for this chance. He remembered Rainey all too well after being on the losing end to Lakeland in three straight state championship games, the last one back in December. What happened next could best be described as paybacks are hell.
