The history of Florida’s two national championship runs under Urban Meyer tells you that today’s game with Arkansas (3:30 p.m., Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, CBS) should be a major concern. In both the 2006 and 2008 national championship seasons, the Gators suffered an unexpected loss to an unranked team from the SEC West just one week after pulling off a hard fought, emotional victory. In 2006, the Gators lost at Auburn the week after they knocked off ninth-ranked LSU in Gainesville. Last season, Ole Miss scored a 31-30 upset the week after the Gators ground out an impressive win over Tennessee in Knoxville.
