Florida coach Will Muschamp has promised he will conduct a thorough search for a new offensive coordinator, but one candidate is a coach he’s had a chance to work with closely for the past year.

Running backs coach Brian White is on Muschamp’s shortlist, and he brings to the table a lot of the continuity the first-year coach talked Monday about wanting to maintain.

“I've worked for him for a year, so I hope that he knows me,” White said. “Will's going to do what's in the best interest of the football program, and that's what he should do. He'll make a great decision, and it will be very beneficial to this program. I'm just happy to be here.”
