Florida coach Will Muschamp continued making the rounds on his tour of the state of Florida, stopping tonight in Orlando to meet with the Central Florida Gator Club.

He revealed three interesting bits of news at the event.

First, sophomore defensive end Tevin Westbrook will move to tight end for fall camp. A UF spokesman confirmed the news through an official Twitter account.

Westbrook played in three games as a true freshman, picking up two tackles against Kentucky in late September, including one for a 6-yard loss.

The Gators had only two scholarship tight ends on the roster for most of spring practice with sophomore A.C. Leonard suspended for half of spring following his arrest on domestic battery charges.

With two freshmen arriving this summer, Florida should have six scholarship tight ends heading into fall camp. However, Westbrook has the best size in the unit at 6 foot 5, 268 pounds.

Muschamp also announced that junior wide receiver Stephen Alli will miss the next three months after undergoing surgery to repair a stress fracture in his leg, a UF spokesman also confirmed through Twitter.

Alli has played in 25 games after redshirting in his first year at Florida, but he has accounted for just three catches for 17 yards in the last two seasons.

At 6 foot 6, 217 pounds, Alli has terrific size for the position but has been unable to break into the regular rotation.

Finally, Kevin Brockway of the Gainesville Sun reported that Muschamp said junior cornerback Jeremy Brown is expected to be cleared for contact by July 1. Brown started 10 games at cornerback in 2010, but he missed all of the 2008, 2009 and 2011 seasons with injuries.
