Strong finding success with Cards

The last time Charlie Strong prepared for a Sugar Bowl, he did so with a myriad of thoughts racing through his head.

It was 2009 and Strong, then the defensive coordinator of the Florida Gators, had recently been hired as the coach of the Louisville Cardinals.

Out of respect for Gators coach Urban Meyer and the players Strong had developed a close relationship with during his time in Gainesville, he delayed fulfilling his duties at Louisville to finish what he started with the Gators that season.
