Despite not wearing any pads, the action was exciting as the Gators worked out for the first spring practice. A few of the wide receivers and defensive backs stood out in a practice that was described as "sloppy" by players and coaches, which is the usual refrain on the first few days.

This week, Gator Country’s practice coverage is FREE to give you an idea of what we deliver to our valued members. We’ve set the standard for practice coverage and continue to do so. Not a member? Join today and don’t miss out on the rest of our excellent practice coverage!

Offensive lineman James Wilson attended and warmed up with the team despite having asked to be released from his scholarship in order to transfer.

Most of the attention was focused on the incoming players for a preview of what’s to come: Carl Moore, Earl Okine, Emmanuel Moody, Janoris Jenkins, Caleb Sturgis, Troy Epps and Matt Patchan.

Coaches Vance Bedford, Kenny Carter and Dan McCarney also took part in their first practice with the Gators.

Look for another gallery from Friday’s practice!
