Spikes to sit out entire Vandy game

Brandon Spikes won’t be playing Saturday when the top-ranked Florida Gators (8-0, 5-0 SEC East) host Vanderbilt (2-7, 1-4 SEC East). Just two days after Urban Meyer announced that Spikes was suspended for the first half of the game for inappropriate actions caught on film during the Georgia game, Meyer and Spikes made a brief appearance before the media Tuesday night to announce that rather than play even a half, Spikes would be sitting the entire game.
