So much for global warming. Maybe if Al Gore hadn't spent so much time inventing the internet he could have foreseen cold Aprils in time to do something about it. Exhibit A: The Arkansas spring game last Saturday. Instead of the usual large crowd that includes an extraordinary number of just back from spring break debutantes in cut-offs showing those Panama City tan lines, the newest in tattoo fashion, belly piercings and dandy sets of store-boughts, there were only hardy souls decked out in down hunting vests and Floyd R. Turbow caps with ear flaps brave enough to sit around for an hour or so in 30-degree weather with threats of snow flurries.
