There was a collective smack that reverberated all over the south that day five years ago when the family of Ted Williams announced they had sawed the head off the great one's cadaver and sent it to Arizona where it could be frozen until they figure out how to bring him back to life. The moment the news hit the state of Alabama, Crimson Tide fans, almost in unison, hit their foreheads with the palms of their hands and asked each other, “Why didn't we think of that when Bear died?”
