Penalties plague Gators in opener

In 2011, the Florida Gators ranked 114th nationally with 100 penalties on the season.

The 100 penalties amounted to an average of 7.7 per game — something Florida Gators football coach Will Muschamp stressed needed to be an area of improvement in 2012.

Through one game, Florida must continue to search for the improvement it so desires. Just one game into the season, Muschamp said they had "exhausted everything I know" to try to correct penalties.
